A Picture Perfect Honeymoon in Bora Bora

If you’ve ever been engaged or married, you understand the importance of having a professional photographer at your wedding to capture every single moment of your special day. But what about your honeymoon? Wherever you go together, you’ll surely want plenty of amazing photos to remember the occasion — especially when you travel to a place as stunningly beautiful as Bora Bora!

Travel Photography

When it’s just the two of you traveling, it can be hard to take a good amount of photos together. You’re either constantly asking others around you to take your picture, or you’re attempting the “extended-arm self-portrait trick,” which rarely lends itself to a flattering photo. So what’s the solution?

According to the Wall Street Journal, travel photography is now the latest trend. Many hotels and resorts around the world are starting to sell private sessions with a professional photographer or videographer. Even some independent wedding photographers are offering their own vacation packages and turning it into a lucrative side business.

This leaves us wondering… would you hire a travel photographer for your honeymoon? Luckily, if you’re traveling to Tahiti, the island of Bora Bora is already ahead of the curve.

Resort Offerings

Many of the resorts in Bora Bora already work with various photographers and videographers to shoot their clients’ destination weddings. Sadry Ghacir, owner of Bora Bora Wedding Factory, works exclusively with resorts such as the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort and the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa to film and photograph the weddings there. However, some of the hotels are now taking this a step further to expand beyond weddings. Next month, the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora plans to unveil a “Romance” room service menu that features a private photo session for couples staying at the resort.

Pictured above, Shira and Chuck Badger have already taken advantage of the photography services in Bora Bora. When they planned their destination wedding and honeymoon at the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora, they not only booked a photographer for the ceremony, but they also hired Sadry Ghacir to accompany them on a snorkeling excursion. Equipped with an underwater camera, she captured photos of them enjoying their vacation together as a newlywed couple.

The Loveboat Bora Bora

Another great option for couples in Bora Bora is the Loveboat. Created by Frenchman Damien Dunand in 2005, this company offers a variety of half-day and full-day excursions with a private photo session included. This means you can enjoy a range of activities, including snorkeling and sunset cruises, and walk away with 100-300 professional photos from the day. If you’re lucky enough to travel somewhere as beautiful as Bora Bora, you’ll never regret having the pictures to remind you of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
