The 21st edition of the Hawaiki Nui Va’a concluded on Friday, November 9th and Electricité de Tahiti (EDT) was the winning team! A total of 86 crews and 126 rowers competed in this year’s grueling outrigger canoe race. Shell Va’a, who was favored to win the competition, won the final stage of the race but was beaten overall by EDT, who had won the previous leg between Raiatea and Taha’a. In second place overall was Paddling Connection, followed by Mataierea Ho’e in third. Congratulations to all the teams for completing this amazing feat!
