What if you could have your dream wedding at each of your bucket list destinations around the world? That’s exactly what Alex Pelling and Lisa Gant, the duo behind 2People1Life, have been doing since 2011. They quit their jobs, sold their house and vowed to get married in every country they visit. Their goal is to embrace the culture and local customs of each destination and discover what makes bringing two people together such a worldwide tradition.
Back in April, they flew to our islands and had their first inflight wedding aboard Air Tahiti Nui, followed by a traditional Tahitian wedding ceremony in both Tahiti and Bora Bora. Although the couple is still not legally married, they plan to return to their favorite place and officially tie the knot in 2014. Let’s hope Tahiti topped their list!

On Tuesday, April 23, 2013, the couple first exchanged vows somewhere over the ocean at 33,000 feet from Paris to Los Angeles. This was their 42nd wedding! Once they arrived in Tahiti, they had a traditional ceremony at the InterContinental Tahiti Resort. Here’s a video teaser of the occasion:
Then on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, they had their 44th wedding in the stunning chapel at the InterContinental Bora Bora Resort & Thalasso Spa. These pictures are gorgeous!

Alex and Lisa also went to Moorea and stayed at the InterContinental Moorea Resort & Spa. They met the dolphins at the Moorea Dolphin Center, got pampered at the Helena Spa, and visited the Tiki Village for a traditional Tahitian dinner and dance show. In Bora Bora, they sailed with Tahiti Yacht Charter and went canoeing, paddle boarding and snorkeling with sharks and stingrays. “This place is heaven,” the couple said on their Facebook page, “such an incredible experience!” Congrats, you two!
