Jack McCoy’s “A Deeper Shade of Blue” will screen for one night only on Thursday, March 28th in 400 cinemas across the U.S. This fantastic documentary tells the history of surfing and features amazing underwater footage of Teahupo’o, Tahiti. It premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in 2011 and has since been praised as the “greatest surfing story ever told.” The film also features a great soundtrack with music from Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Paul McCartney and Jack Johnson. This special one-night event includes the premiere of Paul McCartney’s music video, “Blue Sway,” and a pre-recorded panel discussion with Jack McCoy and world‐renowned surfing legends. The island is featured as the beautiful backdrop to the brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection. With the Golden Globes and the Oscars right around the corner, award season is officially here! But while the rest of the world focuses on Hollywood, our attention is on Tahiti and the South Pacific. Each year, Tahiti hosts the annual Pacific International Documentary Film Festival (FIFO). This year’s event, which marks its 10th anniversary, is scheduled to take place from February 11th to the 17th at the Maison de la Culture in downtown Papeete.
